The Hollywood Chapel

Hello all,

I am so thrilled, today my partner (Michelle) and I signed our lease on the first, one and only wedding chapel in California to serve the GLBT community, West Hollywood to be exact! We are very thrilled to have the opportunity to offer gays and lesbians a place to affirm their love in a warm and inviting environment. It is really exciting to be on the cutting edge of this new world where the way we love and who we love, is not up to politicians but rather to the heart; where the love we feel is the love we can express for that special person regardless of gender. God it seems like forever that we have been asking for this and now it is almost in reach. Yes we still have to wait until June 17th the day after the ban can be contested, when we can start the "Summer of Love".

So Friends and lovers give me a call and we can schedule you to get married at the chapel on June 17th. Right now the web site is http://www.sacredaffairs.com/ but starting soon it will be thehollywoodchapel.com. Please pass this blog onto everyone you know who wants to get married in a sacred and fun place!

Same Sex Weddings

Hello everyone,

Are you as excited as I am that the Supreme Court of California has finally given Gay and Lesbian the rights to declare their love for each other and make it legal? Wow, finally California is once again setting the standard for the rights of a citizen to live with and love whom they choose. I say it is about time, a day late and a dollar short though. But we will celebrate the decission and encourage the rest of the country to keep up. Ok so move on Lorelei ! :)

There is one thing I do have issue with and that is those out there who have taken money from the GLBT comunity by perfroming commitment ceremonies in the dark as I say. That is to say, they will do a ceremony if asked and paid enough but, wont publically stand behind the rights of those couples. As a Minister and a supporter of the Gay Marriage initiative, I am and have been proud perfomr those weddings without hesitation and to to say "Yes I will marry you and I wont hide it." I will loudly and proudly say I perform Gay weddings. I believe that to marry the same sex is no different that solemnizing a hetero ceremony. They are one in the same, an expression of the love, an commitment between two people. Nothing fancy, nothing different, the same. So come and come all I embrace you and celebrate your rights.

Ok there I go again going off on a pet pieve so to speak. I will stop but it does burn my soul. Anyway kids the good news is that as of today the 28th of May, I can as a authrorized Notary, can issue you a license as of the 17th of June!!!!!! Oh my Goodness, I cant wait to sign my first license....Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

One last exciting thing.... my partner and I have great news breaking tomorrow so check back you will be so glad you did....oh and pas my blog onto everyone you know ok??? Thank

Talk to you all tomorrow.....
